Ben Franklin was the Nation’s first Postmaster General.
It stands to reason then why he was the father of Direct Mail Marketing. As a result of this, more is known about the buying habits of consumers than those of businesses. Remember every business person is a consumer, however not all consumers are business persons.
Standard consumer lists are compiled lists. That means that every name in every phonebook is keyed into a database. Then anywhere from 3 or 4 to 40 different sources are overlayed against that file to pick up new names and ensure accuracy of the data by having more than one source verify that (for example) a consumer’s address is their current address, phone, etc.
Because of all these independent sources coming in (mortgage information as one example), list owners are able to get a more detailed picture of each consumer. The winner in the consumer list race is the list owner who puts in the money acquiring more independent sources giving more selections to choose from to narrow down your market and give a higher accuracy. That boils down to a higher response rate for you, and the more of the people who do respond, end up buying your product or service.
The bad news is there are thousands of consumer lists on the market, and to be frank, in our opinion, only about 5% of them are any good.
The good news is based upon our experience and our research, we feel confident we know where that 5% is and of those we will recommend the list which best suits your needs.
Let us do the homework and recommend the right list for your business.
